Im sure it will suck balls, god I hope they dont make it. If they do, they will try to make it into some fucking mega-epic tale, where as a good portion of the hobbit was light hearted and fun. Im sure they will cut out all the spots that might be uncomfortable on film (most likely all the cool songs), and make it into not the hobbit but the lotr prequel.
Fuck that, leave the hobbit alone.

According to Variety, the “Lord of the Rings” prequel – which the studio hopes Peter Jackson will direct – is one of several big-budget films that the crowd have in the works.
In addition, they’re also prepping a fourth “Terminator” movie.
Why not (

In addition, they're also prepping a fourth “Terminator” movie, and a sequel to the Pierce Brosnan starrer “The Thomas Crown Affair”.
Those movies need a sequel like I need a hole in the head.
Terminator is Done. Anything else is just going to make the already horribly contrived storyline even more so.
The Thomas Crown Affair was a fantastic contemporary update on a classic film, the loose ends were tied up and the story was told. It's told, it's done. Stop already. omfg trilogy wtf no :(

If Pete Jackson does end up directing The Hobbit prequel then I'm sure it'll definitely be worth seeing; as long as MGM doesn't get in his way of making it. New Line seemed to go along with whatever Jackson wanted, but I've heard that some studios can ruin a movie by trying to micro-manage and throwing obstacles in the director's path.
If MGM is stupid enough to try filming The Hobbit without Jackson...well, I doubt it'll be worth the price of the ticket. (imho)
RE: Terminator 4?? Isn't Arnie getting a little long-in-the-tooth for action movies? I didn't think the Terminator aged.

How will they deal with more than a dozen main characters (the dwarves) who are all very similar?
(

(That's one damn addictive game, btw)

I'm honestly surprised about another Terminator sequel being in the works, not just because they completed the cycle of lean action sci-fi horror to flabby overbaked pop-culture-referencing hollywood action to carry on terminating, but because there's also a rumoured TV show in the works that I'm sure will piss all over any remaining creditable mythos belonging to the franchise.

“The Hobbit”, said to be budgeted in the $150-200 million dollar range.
what a waste of money:(
but yeah, never got around to seeing the LOTR sequels, doubt I'd get around to seeing this either.
