Nice work. But I would keep the rectangular look and remove those smoothed corners. Also some kind of support plates with bolts could make it look less modern (original model looked always out of place IMO). And finally a small visible lock (could be a simple keyhole) would be a nice touch.

Heh, I was going to bite my tongue on this one, but yeah, sometimes objects are square because they're square. Tool boxes in particular do tend to be all sharp corners.
Something like (

Also, the original has such a plain texture that I suspect nobody would mind if you elaborated on it a bit. Maybe added some rust and dings, corner welds, etc. The current texture on the upgraded model almost looks more like stone.

I like that better then the first one :thumb:
(could you make one with a lock on?, for missions to come i meen?, so it could be picklocked with out that moving lit thing, and i allways found it ort how anyone can cerry a toolbox in a handle on the lit that only has hinges in one side and no lock or other locking device on the other side :weird: would´n it just pop open and all the tool be strun on the floor? )

NV, did you have to fix the joints on that new version at all? I'm pretty sure there was something iffy about the way the original model opened.

You mean how it opens only a little, instead of wide?

You mean the way toolboxes only open on the third frob?
Adding the Shape->Joint Positions property to the object fixes that, but the EP can't make change to the gamesys, so we're stuck with it.

Hey, that's actually pretty realistic for a beat up toolbox to have a lid you have to fight to open! Annoyingly realistic, too.

That's what I meant, yes. Thanks for the info. I'm going to fix that in my custom gamesys.

A bit odd that you get the contents on the first frob, though, not just when the thing finally opens.
