That's one light sword! Maybe you could make the handle (leather...?) touch the guard without any bronze in between, that always reminds me of some terrible fantasy sword from a similar terrible German Templar-Fantasy movie. (:eww:)
Otherwise, great work throughout the thread. :thumb:

it is a looong time that i would see a re-vised version of the damned sword model.. thank you Nameless.
Can't wait to put my hands on that pack. :p

But....it's almost all black!
Anyway, I like the new "default" sword. The previous one was good, but a little too ornate and rich. This one is more spartan, more suitable for a guard. :)

I should point out that the above is an ingame shot, so it has lighting applied to it unlike most of the other screenshots. It is still darker than the original, though.

The weapon display case object is a point that i did not agree.
'cause the question is: it could be right that, in a time where we can create complicated objects without increase too much the polycount and the framerate, we need more of this kind of 'fake show' ?
So why don't to create a REAL weapon display case ?

Maybe it's a stupid question, but will all these improvements work for Thief 1 or only Thief 2 or even for both of them?
I read through most parts of the thread but I obviously missed this information...

Because all new objects must be the same size as the old objects.

Someone could make a "shadow box" display case only .5 units thick or so. Like a picture frame with weapons sticking out of them.
