Sent the fire poker to NV just now, I was tired of fooling with it. The plain textures need some work IMO, and probably the UV. I already have textures for the new flashbomb, so I'm working on that now.

Plus, is the red button is important enough to carry over? If so, I'll probably just colour the double-circle thing on either side to look like a red button.

Ohh... hrmmm.
First: The work you did is very good!
Second: I have trouble seeing that as a flashbomb. I don't think I'd want to use it. Maybe as a different kind of flashbomb, but not as a replacement for the original.
First issue...
To refresh the point of contention - a real flash bomb works by blowing itself up. The Thief-world flashbombs seem to work by the push of a button and a flash coming from the lens. I do not bring this up because I intend to argue about it, but rather offer a definite solution. For one thing, the button is important, and for another, there should probably be more than one lens. The fact that the flashbomb is gone after a use is simply a design oversight - or simplification. Aside: In FMs where the author is particularly anal, a flashbomb could be rigged to not be destroyed on use, but rather be replaced by a 'junk object' dead flashbomb which could act as evidence against them, and needs to be picked back up (not going into the inventory, like any other junk object) and disposed of in order to maintain complete secrecy.
Secondly, as far as the design goes, I think NV and I are in agreement that EP objects should try to be as faithful to the originals as possible, even to a fault - hence the recoloring of the Hammerite periscope lens from the proper black to the original green. So on this I will simply agree that the textures need work. :)
Finally, I don't think that the flashbomb should be spherical. Round yes, a ball yes, but as a riveted-together bit of machinery it should be as far away from a perfect sphere as possible while still seeming basically round.

I think the major issue with this new flashbomb is the general apparence, it reminds more of an Aztec-like artifact than a device used in Thief distorted universe. ;)

That was because I worked out that there was supposed to be some liquid in the lens, as seen in the lens in the intro to Thief 2. So, in this case, green is 'proper' for the way such lenses work in the Thief universe.

Good points all around. As I said, it's a rough draft, and I was really looking for the kind of feedback you all gave me. I noticed the original has lenses on both front and back, so I take it I should do the same? It just seemed odd to me, which is why I used a different texture on the back.
