I'll have a go at the canopic jar soon, as I wanted to make a new one for my mission anyway.

Wow ! :D
Nice alternative for the latest (and already awesome) city jars. :)

These look great. I just took another go at playing thief with the EP beta installed and it makes a real difference. I can only imagine what a complete EP could do!
I have a suggestion,
In this thread a couple times people have worried about the new objects with their sharp textures clashing with the rest of the terrain. Is it possible to replace all the original texture families in thief with similar but much higher quality textures?
Coupling this with the improved objects and installing it could result in totally stunning new thief experience!
(I'm drooling already...)
Immortal :)

I have already developed some replacements for textures in the core1-2-3 and city families, but not all. IMO some of the families don't need much work, like the nice civic textures used in the bank OM.
Anyway, NV, I assume you're taking measures to insure the new EP doesn't use very many palettes? I recall that with the older Beta, authors who used it sometimes started running out of palettes (although it could be unrelated).

Well, it'll always use some palettes, since the original textures I'm replacing are mostly from /txt/ and used the standard Thief 1 palette.
I try to match palettes as much as I can, but a complete EP is simply going to need a lot. At the moment, all the updated paintings use their own palette, I think. I'll see about narrowing that down later on.
I also lost the source files for all the textures in the original EP beta, so I haven't touched them. I'm considering repalettising them along with the newer textures to reduce palettes, but that will mean a slight decrease in colour quality, which I'm not happy about.
