Sometimes it's the simple things that people take for granted, that could use some work, and a big improvement can be had.

You have too much time on your hands Zylon. :tsktsk:
Nice work (as usual) NV.

I should point out that some plates are actually
supposed to be hexagonal--
The textures that the original plates used (and the new ones still use) clearly showed that they were supposed to be round, though, even if the models themselves were hexagonal.

Dude, you really should look into this cool new thing called "Google". It lets you find all sorts of things really quickly.

I would have to agree with Zylon on that one. The texture being round, doesn't mean that the plates were meant to be round as textures can be totally out of whack from the model and look great. Didn't they have some round plates in there anyway?

They look octagonal to me. Yes I am a pedant.
I prefer them round personally judging by the screenshot.
Octagonal plates are soooooooo last year darlings.

I wasn't actually being serious. Not completely, anyway. I was just obliquely making the point that, in the much broader sense, a high-poly crate isn't necessarily a sphere.
As for The_Dude, I have no idea what point he thinks he just made.
