I entered the Mage guild in Vivec, and as dumb as I was I asked Trebonius for a mission. Now he as set me up with finding out why the Dwarwes dissapeared. Is this mission even doable ? All the others in the guild say he has given them tasks they could never finish :-/ Please spoil me here.

Doing one of the imperial legion quests i solved this by accident, but i doubt you want to do 6 sidequests to get the answer to this one. In gnisis at the N side i believe, (might be south) there is a big dome built right into the side of a hill next to the arch/gate, go into the doom and proceed in killing the rats and you will find an NPC with his very own Shock Centurion and Daedroth that WON'T attack you if you don't attack him. Bribe him up REAL high and then you can ask him about why the dwarves really dissappeared.

This quest is actually a very easy one.
As you know, in the Mages guild in Ald'run (sp?), the guild steward there sends you to a number if different dwarven ruins for different artifacts and so fourth. In each of these dwarven ruins (or majority of them) there are books.
You'll need 3 books to complete this quest.
a Book from beside the assistant in the one dwarven ruins (where the mages guild has not recieved a report long over due) I'm sorry but I don't recall the name. You'll know it though, because it's only part dwarven.
The egg of Time (if I recall properly) Which is in the quest where you have to get the first set of blueprints (also the first dwarven ruins full of orcs with their lovely armor) :)
Hanging Gardens (I can't remember which of the quests this is, it's definately the latter)
Once you've achieved this, goto Gniess (sp?) via slit riders and at the NE part of town, there's a big ballish house in the hill, half exposed. Go in here, there's a few monsters, just skeletons etc. You'll need to lock pick, or use a spell/scroll to open the lock at the top of the slants (no more than 50pts).
Don't attack the deadra crocidile thingie, it's indifferent to you. Go up the stairs and bribe the darkelf at the top, until he likes you enough to decode the books for you (he does this by using the half dwarven book because it's in 2 languages)
Go back to the mages guild and talk to the guild leader and he'll thankyou.
This quest actually, has nothing at to do with the game really and you recieve no rep points for it. The Guild Leader is a bit of a push over, and a bit brainless.... the steward in Ald'run (kun?) actually inplies that you'd make a much better guild leader (maybe things to come?)
anyways, sorry this is so long, and that everything isn't spelled properly, but it should be good enough to get you through. BTW, the guild steward in Ald'kun/run is actually the steward that the steward in balmora sends you to. Just do all the dwarven quests assigned to you and make sure to pick up all the dwarven books you see! :)

a Book from beside the assistant in the one dwarven ruins (where the mages guild has not recieved a report long over due) I'm sorry but I don't recall the name. You'll know it though, because it's only part dwarven.
etc etc...

The other book is called Divine Mechanics, I think... if not, it's something like that... the value of it and the Egg of Time are 1k, so that might make it easier to identify if you need the book. The Hanging Gardens is a much lower value though... 30g I think.
