I´m at the EggMine in Gnisis. Found the ghost who told me to take the broken axe to General Darius to prove he was murdered. But I can´t find it! It should be at the bottom of the pool behind him. Do I need the water breathing spell to enter the pool or anything else to retrieve the axe?

Nah, it should be pretty easy to find; his body's at the bottom of the pool, next to a stone pillar IIRC. The axe in question is right next to the corpse. If you can't locate it, you might try a Night Eye or Light potion/scroll/whatever.

I can see the ax but it is very small, as if I´m looking at it from the water surface and I can´t take it. Do I have to dive in because I click the space and nothing happens. If not, could you give the command for the console? I don´t like to cheat but I´d like to go on with the game!!!

Umm... yes, you do have to dive in and get the axe; why the issue?
If you're next to the ghost, jump in and dive down to the bottom of the pool. The axe in question is leaning up against the left-hand side of the stone pillar (really a stalagmite) in the middle of that pool, right next to Vabdas' body.
Oh, and btw, you accidentally hit 'new post' instead of 'post reply'; I've fixed it up this time, but please be more careful in the future? (It's a bit of a pain to merge threads)
