I still have XP. I'm not sure if it's related, but I started using IE8 this week.
It's not regular images I have a problem with... I think they are flash type images. They stop loading part way through....every time, like in this screen. Is there a fix?

Stop using IE, at all. Try anything else, Chrome, Firefox, Opera. Anything.

Uninstall Flash and reinstall.
I always test if my flash is working properly by loading a youtube video.
