Anyways you should look into rowing. It's rad
It looks "rad" and you get a good workout no doubt, but its all the same body motion in the arms and legs, and I prefer to be moving about using different parts, and soccer and rugby gives me that satisfaction. Also you are stuck in a small narrow boat, and that would not make me entirely comfortable, I don't like lakes and rivers. Too easy to overturn and would be about the worst.

and you will get GIANT MUSCLES and ALL THE GIRLS
For myself this is not the reason to get into sports, to get built and babes, its a definite perc but I believe you get into sports more for the idea of being an alternative to all the frustrations girls cause you, and no matter how much muscle mass you get, it still doesn't mean you're going to get all the girls. . its one effective release from continuously thinking about them. This I know.

Could easily have been by accident though. But if you can't handle that kind of minor injury then rugby probably isn't for you.
It wasn't an accident, you figure he'd know he's made contact with flesh, so why keep raking on it. Thats the kind of injury I can't handle, its intentional and a cheap move. I think rugby is for me, just that I don't want it to be the sole focus of the season, so why not take a break on the abuse and take up fencing.
Anyway, I'd like to read more on the Star Wars comparisons even though its completely not fencing.
One more thing:
I. Am. NOT. a. Wuss:mad: Number ten is a marked bastard, and I'll spread his parts all over the pitch next game.

I don't know how many of you know, but I started doing Modern Pentathlon a few years ago (I think I meant to make a thread about it but never got round to it ^^; )
Anyway, so one of the events is epee fencing. Its great fun to learn, and the footwork becomes instinctive after a short period of time. Its certainly not a "girly" sport, requiring speed and skill as well as sometimes hurting rather a lot. (The bruises aren't as large as rugby ones, but they tend to last a lot longer.) The kit is quite pricey though, especially if you have to get foil and epee and sabre gear (its all slightly different for competitions) do they not have kit you can borrow at the club?
Fencing is great fun though, highly recommended :)
