Okay, I'm either the stupidest person to ever play this game, or I am missing a piece of the puzzle. I'm stuck in the puzzle canal in Vivec. It's supposed to be a simple little pilgrimage, right? Well, I have my silver longsword - I figured that whole thing out when I didn't have a portion of muck at the Fields of Kummu. But there's no one to give it to. The shrine just keeps saying to breathe the water of glory and the way will be made clear, but it's not clear!!!
I need the expertise of a more experienced (and obviously smarter) player than myself. A hint? Anyone? Anyone?

I couldn't figure it out either. As a matter of curiosity, has anyone on this forum figured this one out without cheating, or are we all passing a piece of someone else's cunning around?

I almost found it on accident. I was searching in the water for something, then I had to go on the phone for a sec and I left the game running while I was in the water. I came back and I had about 30 hp left, but I still rushed out of it because I didn't want to die. Then I came on here and found out...

I thought that 'breathe the waters...' meant using a water breathing spell/potion. How wrong I was.

That's what I thought, and to be honest it does seem the logical thing to do. But I didn't have anything like that on me, hehe.
This is a bit off topic, but I really think Morrowind should have more riddle based stuff. Maybe puzzle-like dungeons too. I don't want them to go totally overboard with it, but it'd be cool if they had to make you think before rushing in blindly.

Okay, well, I finally found the answer to this one in the archives on this forum. Whew! I'm stuck on another one now. Where is the library in the Hall of Justice?

I like the riddles too, but I think they should give you a better clue in that Vivec breathing water one. Water breathing, at the point in the game I am, means potion to me. Thank goodness for this group of people, or I'd still be wandering around in the puzzle canal...in the dark...sopping wet....
