Hi there, i´ve just bought the year edtion of this game, thought i already played it once, i´m replaying now so i can explore all places and missions, i´ve already reached the 20 level skill points, but now it seems that every action i do, like killing enemies , breaking locks, disarming traps and so on are no longer rewarded by points, if i install one of the fallout 3 expation do i get the right to increase my skill points again? What expation would you suggest me to play next? or shall i follow the order that is listed on the front cover of the Fallout 3 year edition dvd?

Yeah, with at least one of the expansions (Broken Steel I think) you can go up to level 30. Seems kind of pointless since you can easily max out over half your skills as is with regular skill points, bobbleheads, books, and perks.
There are also mods that change the level cap.

So you would suggest me to install next the "Broken Steel" expation? so i can be more skillfull and prepared for the rest expations?
One more question, can i still explore the map after finishing the game?

If you install Broken Steel then you can carry on after completing the main quest, otherwise the game ends.

If you bought the "Game of the Year" edition, just install ALL the expansions. You can do them in whatever order you want. A message will pop up with the quest in your pip-boy, but to do the quests themselves you have to go to certain new areas on the map.
Broken Steel is the exception - you can't play that at all until after the main quest is over. However, with it installed you'll still see some new stuff right from the start. A couple new monsters and a few new items, as well as the level cap going from 20 to 30.

Alright, i will install all expations, and leave "broken Steel" for last, can you believe i bought the expations seperated before the fallout 3 game of the year edition was release, that got me angry, i had to sold out the other expations, as i was force to buy the year edition because of the "mothership zeta" that there was nowhere to be found in any seperated expation, anyway i should have guessed, afterall it happened the same with oblivion.
I´m going to share here some new soundtrack for fallout 3, from musics i´ve choosed from a big collection of electronic music that i´ve got.

So i guess the wisest thing i´ll have to do is finish the main quest and then install all expations (including "broken steel"), so i may have the possibility to incrise my points up to 30?

Whenever Broken Steel is installed the level cap is raised to 30. You don't have to wait to finish any quests, it should be automatic. If you're at level 20 now, for example, you'll start earning XP again and moving towards level 21. If you're at level 17 you'll just continue leveling up as you normally would.
I opted to have the expansions installed from the beginning. If you're worried about encountering some of the new baddies before you're ready I can say from my experience it's no big deal. I've already encountered two Super Mutant Overlords and I'm on level 17 right now. They aren't kidding when they say those things are tough, but they won't break the game by any means.
Then again, I caved and decided to try Operation: Anchorage early to get some of that overpowered loot people are talking about. This will make things easier later; it certainly has for me already. I'm waiting to tackle The Pitt, Point Lookout, and Zeta until I've at least gotten to level 20 and finished some of the side quests as I've barely even started most.

Oblivion GOTY came with less content than if you purchased Oblivion+KoTN+SI separately at retail.
