I bought the game today immediately started playing it. As you might guess, I have not gotten very far yet. My question is this: How do I rest indoors? I am in the first town in the game and have talked to everyone in the shop and there is simply no way for my character to rest in it... What must be done in order to rest in the game (actual commands please (incluiding chatting or anything of the sort)).
Thanks for your reply

Hmm...
t is for resting, can't do it in towns though.
Never needed to rest indoors really, but in Seyda Neen there's an inn, talk to the guy who can barter with you, I'm guessing he rents rooms.
Really don't need to rest indoors..

In the census and excise building(the one with the class gen guy), there is a room with a bedroll, you can sleep there...
You can also sleep outside of the city limits, just head out of town a bit... untill you see that you've entered ascadian isles or bittercoast region.

If you are evil (or open minded about killing and murder :p), visit houses with doors which aren't locked and talk to the people who live there. Try to find a place with only one person (check all rooms) wearing cheap clothes and talk to that person. If he/she doesn't have anything interesting to say, kill him/her, clean up the corpse and enjoy your new home. :)

To rest in a town, you need to find a bed. That includes actual beds, cots, and bedrolls. Point your crosshair at it and press your "use" key (spacebar by default). Note, however, that if you get caught sleeping in a bed that belongs to someone else, you will be considered a criminal. The bedroll in the basement of the excise building is usually considered a safe place to sleep in Seyda Neen without getting in trouble or needing to kill anyone.

Who said you can't rest in a town?
I sleep wherever the hell I want to. :p
One thing that gets me is that all the people in Seyda Neen say that you can get a bed at Arille's tradehouse. I haven't even seen a bed in there let alone been offered one. :p

Either elone or arille will rent you the room(i think), or if you got high enough security and sneak, you can pick the lock. There is a newtscale cuirass under the bed, so you can have a peice of decent low lvl armor too.

I have never once been offered a room by Arille or Elone.
