Ok, I know the basic functions of the game, but how in the hell do I level up? I'm still in the main town that I started in, and I am busy killing Mudcrabs and the worm things. What do I do to level up. Also, I read that I can pickpocket, is this true? If so, how?
Sorry if I'm such a dumbass!!
Thanks in advance.

I would've thought they would have included how to level in the manual...
I know that if you say, put your cursor over your level in MW it'll show some info about it etc.
Btw: PC > Console (Yes that was neccesary)

First up, X-Box's are shit.
To level up you have to train 10 of your major or minor skills up and then sleep for 24 hours in a bed. (You can level up any 10 skills. You can do the same skill 10 times if you like or any different skills as long as there are 10.)
To pick-pockets you normally hold down control but seeings you're using a console I don't know.
Like Tuco said, it should be in the manual. Go read that.

You only have to rest, it doesn't have to be 24 hours, Hoka.

And it doesn't have to be in a bed either.

Plus, unlike other RPG's, Power leveling doesn't really work in Morrowind. It somestimes takes a while to get your first level ups. But Hoka is spot on about how it works, you just have to be patient!

On a console, you hold down the "Sneak" key, LOL. Whatever THAT is. I'd guess one of the triggers, although wait.. that would make sense! So that's probably NOT it.
JB: it basically takes time, and improving your "major" skills. Someone else put a note in here that if you hover your cursor (there IS a cursor in the XBox version, I hope!) over your level, you'll get some popup info. In addition, doing it over your various skills will show you how far along advancing you are, and how far you have to go.
Hope this helps in a teeny way.
