I'm just dropping into my old internet haunt here to shamelessly promote my own doings.
And also because I've dearly, dearly missed you all. TTLG was a huge part of my life for years, back in ago.
But onto self-aggrandising spam, I'm a dang professional internet comedy writer all of a sudden!
Just got an (

http://cracked.com) Cracked.com and as such I'm temporarily crazy internet famous. We're talking a site that usually sits in the top 1000 Alexa traffic rankings, as in top 1000 of the
entire fucking internet.
Besides bragging about my own achievement though, I have to pass on what an amazing opportunity Cracked provides. It runs by an open (i.e. you can join fucking right now) writing workshop where you pitch article ideas at the editorial staff, and if they pick up your pitch you get paid US$50 and get huge exposure, like averaging 250,000 views on the first day of a feature article. Anyone interested in writing professionally, or as an ego-boosting hobby*, should at least consider this.
All it takes is a fascination with odd facts and a good sense of humour. I could name at least a dozen TTLG members who would instantly fit the bill.

Cracked articles actually manage on occasion to make me laugh in a way mostly reserved for when I see someone getting punched in the nuts, so congrats

I greatly enjoyed this article and I'm ashamed to admit I want to try all of those drugs listed. Maybe the least poison-ey ones but hey beggars can't be choosers.
