I'm sort of in the ambivalent camp when it comes to permanent tats, but yours is a cute one, MsLedd. That froggy looks VERY happy to be where he is. :D
And RBJ, looking really fit! Clearly a result of proper hydration. ;)

I gotta say, Mara, you are seriously rocking 40!
Nice frog.

Very cool. Reminds me of a tattoo this guy got of all four ninja turtles. Looks good!

HAWT:cool:
usually tattoos kinda turn me off, but I think it's the fact that this one's not so "big and bad" if ya know what I mean.

I really like tattoos, and that one is very cool.:thumb:
I am of the mind-set that they should be something personal to you, never a partners name, and something you can live with forever... as such I only have the one (so far, but I plan more) and that is my daughters name, in inch-high old-English letters between my shoulder blades. Her mother may not always be my partner (although I hope she is!) but my daughter will always be my daughter, which I will now never forget.
Except when I'm old and cenile, but then I can just look at my back in a mirror and remember I know someone called "anivad".:joke:
My misses has 6 tattoos and regrets 4 (such as her "bunch of grapes" tat on her arm, for example), so it is very important to choose something you really want and will enjoy for life.;)

Just because I have time now that I'm not running out the door on my way to work like this morning:
I
love MsLedd's tatt. I'm a big fan of those (tramp-stamp ftw) but especially when they're not the typical generic rose/butterfly/symmetrical tribal stuff that's so overdone. On top of which, it looks like the artist did a great job, crisp linework, and the colors shade nicely.
As for mine, the first one is based on a sketch by (
http://bluegrin.com/images/BLUEYEZ.JPG) Man Ray that I've wanted for about a decade, ever since I first saw it. My sister's best friend is a tattoo artist, and she used to work down here in the city. I had always planned on getting her to do one for me. For years I put it off, for a number of reasons (money, time, propriety), and then about 5 or 6 years ago, she up and moved to Hawaii. I had missed my window, so I shelved it. This past winter, she moved back to my hometown and opened up her own shop, so I jumped at the chance.
She'd also done one for my other sister, and now my mom is considering having one as well, meaning she'd have inked 4 out of the 5 of us. She's our own family tattooist, on retainer.
Just to balance it out, and to continue the surrealist/abstract art theme, I got the second one a couple of months later, based, obviously, on (
http://bluegrin.com/images/misc/icarus.jpg) Matisse's Icarus. It was pretty much a spur of the moment thing, decided on a Thursday, and was in the chair on Saturday. I only did the figure at first, figuring I could defer on the rest while I decided if I wanted to be cheesy and use UV ink, or do a full blue halfsleeve (which would wait until I did a couple of others on my chest/back, for aesthetic balance reasons).
I give it another six months of 'proper hydration' and I'll even have guns worthy of showing 'em off. ;)

I want pics when it's gone all scabby.
I have something slightly Anglo-Saxon in style on the underside of my wrist (don't get one there, it tickles) from when I was a teenager. It wasn't well done and in truth is a bit of an undefined splodge, but what the heck - it's like the scars on my knees from falling off the roundabout all the time when I was even smaller, 'tis all part of a story.
Now that I'm old, I'd still really like another on my thumb.

Nice tattoo, now can you pan down so we can get some ass?

Tattoos in that location, are called "cum catchers" at my work. (I thought that was pretty much any female anyway.)
I'm joking! I kid because I care! ;)

That glistening oinment reminds me of the time I got it. I think of mine as a time marker.
