Eh, if you know some chinese, you can usually at least find out what animal it came from, even if you don't know what part.

The other day, I was eating at a Korean restaurant. A little side dish that came with my meal was these little brown, short noodly things. I ate a few bites, noting how they tasted like seafood. I looked closer, and all the "noodles" were little bitty fish. Whole ones. Eyes and all.
Now, I certainly understand that everything is an acquired taste, and that different cultures find different foods enjoyable, but that was just weird for me.

I think SubEff is referring to chicken anuses, albeit using the Latin nominative plural ani to mark himself out as an educated fellow.
