If by "better" you mean "slowly inching towards something that might be considered listenable- if you were certifiably insane and enjoyed the sound of a grocery cart rolling down a New York City staircase."

Quoted for truth. Literally, The Mars Volta is the only band I've ever listened to and been unable to understand what it is about them that appeals to people. They're the only band that I don't *get* on any level whatsoever.

Oye pato, get all of The Mars Volta's albums, they only get better with each one.
I -love- De-loused (which I have original ;)), but I have to admit it is a bit harder to get into their later works. Though there are good songs in each of their releases after De-loused :)
Nooooooooooooowwwwwww I'm looooooooooooooooooooost....

What's made you all of the sudden want to switch over to CDs?
Anyhow, this thread has pretty much covered most everything but there's only been one mention of Bob Dylan. For shame!
Bob Dylan - Bringing it all back home
Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited
Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde
Pick one of those. I'm partial to Blonde on Blonde.

And I'll be the one casting a vote for Highway 61 Revisited :) Easily my fave.

Just bought Bob Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited and The Beatles' Please Please Me :)
Great times.

Thanks everyone!

You honestly thought Amputechture was better than Frances the Mute?
I also honestly think their live bootlegs are better than their albums. Holy shit do they ever kill it live. Even though it was a dissapointing tour, I'd still be very interested to see their 07 Australia tour dvd which is supposed to be around the corner.

Yes, and Bedlam in Goliath is better than the rest. But that's just my opinion, I'm a huge fan and like all their stuff anywho.
