Most people I know couldn't get by the Disney connection (or didn't trust themselves in a dark theatre with Orlando Bloom), but when I finally chanced across POTC on DVD, I regretted not going to a matinee. Pirates, pirate skeletons, and the hated British? Muskets, sabres and plundered Aztec gold--WITH A CURSE? Clearly a movie that was as fun to make as it was to watch. This time around, I'm definitely going to buy a ticket.

With the ad thingies, is all they really do is make up a bunch of women that supposedly live in your area and just use the same pictures over again? Some of the screen names are funny too.

I think the look is wicked, of course, it's not at all like what they had going on before with the moonbeam skeletons and not entirely what I would have expected given Davey Jones' story, but you always need to up the ante and buck or walk with a big sequel like this.
July 7 is the release date and I'm pretty sure they'll get my bux.
