We will not be making changes to the ignore feature as it would be fairly pointless seeing that the posts can be quoted.

Thank you for the response David. I seem to have touched the nerves of some people around here, although I'm stumped on why some members seem to take offense at my question. That's ok, that lets me know who I need to put on my list.:thumb:

Is that a threat? And what makes ignoring someone 'cowardly'? Perhaps it might be an act of kindness to turn your back on someone rather than waste time. And dont go calling people names you wouldnt have the guts to say in person.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO, IGNORE ME?
I have to say, I actually laughed out loud upon reading "Is that... a THREAT?"

Additionally, I must point out this is all in jest

what
Nobody "took offence" at your question, although it was quite obviously a bizarre request with no good basis.
Moreover, I find it baffling that you, of all people, should criticise other forum members for being touchy, when you have shown in this thread (and others) that you are utterly incapable of distinguishing humorous responses from threats to your person.

As long as everyone stays off the roof, I'll be happy.

Nothing bizarre about it, I only think that if you use the ignore feature, it should blot the offending person out of view totally. David feels that the ability for the screened out member to be quoted makes such a change useless and that's fine. And I never thought anyone was making threats, but it does annoy me that people make statements like 'you'll get what's coming to you' as though what they say and do actually means something to me. Would you like me to flame people instead of ignore them? No thanks, I'm here for the Editor forums-not to bother with someone who's just looking to be annoying. No big deal really.
