I've noticed when you use the ignore feature, the person's posts get blotted out but there's a note saying that they have posted. Would it be possible to tweak this where that person doesnt show up at all? I know you will still be able to spot their posts when you're not logged in and other people can still quote them, but it would be nice to see the trash swept under the rug while you're using the forum.

I'm genuinely curious as to who/what is so offending you that hiding their posts is not enough, and their very existence must be screened from your view.

Just so you know, Doc

That's none of your affair, it's just a request besides I'm sure most of you would like that change as well.

I was just about to ask the same question myself, though ... you have to admit it piques your curiosity.
I have to say I've never used the ignore feature because I always take people's posts with a grain of salt. But of course I won't denigrate someone that wants to use it for whatever reason they have, and wants to keep it private.

Thanks for the understanding, there's some nice people here and some ugly ones. The ignore feature just gets the annoying ones out of sight so you can focus on your friends.:thumb:

I'm sure most of us don't use the ignore feature. I personally don't think anyone on these boards could be labelled with such a derogatory term as trash.

The trash is usually shovelled out after the hammer.

If you're coward enough to use the ignore feature, you'll get what's coming to you

Is that a threat? And what makes ignoring someone 'cowardly'? Perhaps it might be an act of kindness to turn your back on someone rather than waste time. And dont go calling people names you wouldnt have the guts to say in person.
