If the new Thief's stealth is as much fun to play as Dishonored's stealth... - by Thirith

I hope that's kind of true. Its important to learn from mistakes, not just successes.

Thief 3 may not have been as good as Thief 1 and 2 but its still a good game.
Yes, TDS suffers by comparison. If I had run across it unaware of the other two, I'm sure I would have loved it rather than just liking it.

Most taffers agree TDS is a good game.
And most of that percentage just doesn't think it's good Thief.

TDS is not on my 'good' game list. It has some good content, but overall it wasn't a good game at all for me. I never played it a second time.

Ditto. I can spend hours playing old games like Alpha Centauri or Heroes of Might and Magic 3, nevermind Thief 2 FMs and the likes. I've played trough the OMs of 2 at least 2 times, maybe more. Not once have I returned to the purple loading zones of TDS after I finished it.

Hehe, exactly. TDS was something I "endured", for want of a better word.

I played through it again after some of my initial disappointment wore off and don't think it's a bad game (except for the Pagan dialect :eww:). It just had a lot of limitations. Once the T3 FMs began to be released, I appreciated a lot T3 more. I've played through T3 maybe 5 or 6 times which pales in comparison to the times I played 1 & 2, especially before I discovered FMs. Those loading zones were the worst.
