If System Shock 1 or System Shock 2 were re-made, what would you like to see? - by HitoshuraEA

I don't think much can be changed. System shock 1 was as awesome as it was because you had to mold yourself around the controls, and that challenge of (not too comfortable for some users) controls that you cannot set felt to me like part of what made the game so challenging, its like you have to become more for the game, and when you have to dedicate more to the game, it becomes more of what you play, to become the satisfaction of being able to play, play it on hardest, and make yourself conform TO the game, rather than make the game conform to you. I don't know if what I say makes sence, but that is one thing I really enjoyed. The controls are very well layed out, and to a skilled gamer, the controls shouldnt matter. Sorry, I started rambling on about one single point...
Moving on, I only played the demo's worth of SS2, cause I havent purchased the game (yet!), so I couldnt suggest anything more or less. The graphics were what the were, the gameplay was the same. It was fun. IT wasn't System Shock 1, mind you.
So, what would I change:
1: The MID files for System Shock 1 should be something that is pre-synthesized, like MP3 or something.
2: Better memory management. I hate having to play SS1 in DOS with mouse drivers etc ...
3: The game engine has a few graphical issues. The TSSHP's remake engine made it look awesome, maybe incorporate some of that into making the graphics more stable?
4: More stats at the end....
System Shock 2:
Buy me the game and I will tell you what I think to add ... *smirk*

I played SS2 looong before SS1 so it grew on me more, I tell you, the game is a masterpiece just like SS1. :)

While I did enjoy SS1's cyber-punk theme, I found it refreshing to tackle the System Shock world from the point of view of a soldier....

The hacker in SS1 gave me that feel as well, he is certainly good at using firearms I have to admit.

Well you know what they say. Video games teach you to use weapons and shoot things :p.

You couldn't believe how good I was when I fired a .357 Magnum for the first time.:p
