I wish you could play with some Duke Nukem-like character, who would just laugh at all the danger.. It could be pretty cool going through the hallways with a rocket launcher, completely disobeying Shodan's orders, yelling "COME GET SOME"!

I think it could turn out pretty cool. If you're not trying to create a scary atmosphere.
Wouldn't it be slightly funny if, in the BOTM, the player character would say something like "LOOKS LIKE A HUGE VAGINA" (that's what "they" did look like :o) - I know I'd chuckle.

I would not be entertained by that, we are talking about the System Shock series, not Serious Sam or Duke Nukem.
