If System Shock 1 or System Shock 2 were re-made, what would you like to see? - by HitoshuraEA

To be fair, most of the "logs" in SS2 are directed at someone, that is they are in fact e-mails. The reason it's audio logs instead of text seems like dramatization but could be easily explained by advanced speech recognition.
I wouldn't type this if I could say it instead.

That will bring up the question of how some logs get to the place they are lying on. I'd expect logs directed at someone to be near either the body of the sender or the receiver, or in their personal space...

Well let's leave logs as they are for that moment lol
One thing I wouldn't is the structure of the original script. If anything, additions to the script would be an interesting application.
Any ideas on possible additions?
Perhaps more sub-stories, like the one between Becca and Suarez (I believe) as well as scripted events.
An aspect that I absolutely loved was the level of detailed employed in both of the antagonist's voices. The voice of the many has a powerful effect on the player. Not male or female but both. Not one or two voices but 4 or 5 (I believe reading the official layer track had 2 different voices played in 4 different frequencies.)
SHODAN of course has an excellent voice. Not as strong as in SS1, then again, she isn't as powerful as she was. Her voice waves in and out of clarity, obvious bugs plague her voice. It is this idea of the "Fallen God" I find so very interesting.

You can edit your posts, you know. Even delete them if they become unneeded.

I was in the mood to post, I appreciate it though

I thought Shodan's voice sounded more powerful in SS2, but I think I'm just judging from audio quality differences there.
Since you give her more and more power over the Von Braun as the game progresses, do you notice if she starts showing that in her voice? ;)

ZylonBane....get over it.
Bjossi-In SS1 her voice didnt seem, at least to me, as "broken" as it did in SS2. One thing I did notice is that as Xerxes lost more and more control, SHODAN's voice (the voice itself, not her emotion) became clearer.
Maybe it's just me?
Wishful thinking maybe lol

Her voice didn't feel as broken probably because playing with audio wasn't as flexible and comfy in '94. I happen to love the way her voice sounds in SS2 for that exact reason; the "brokeness".
