Imagine an empty grain silo. Now you inside yelling. The echo sound you get(reverberation) is what reverb means. Its pretty much added to most vocal, drum and other instrument tracks in modern recording.

Think whatever you like about the musical qualities of In Rainbows, but that album is perfectly produced AND mastered - both on vinyl and cd release. Seriously, it goes right up there with Abbey Road on how good the production is.
About the OP's song: Definitely a beautiful voice and definitely a nice little ballad. Does nothing past that for me though - it seems void of all real emotion.

It doesn't really need to be so loud, actually. But yeah, it's a good sounding album.

Come on, fett. You've got to be able to at least (grudgingly) recognize how good the album sounds, even if you loathe every song on it. The ability to make that distinction typically accompanies the whole "becoming a musician" bit.
