You may be able to disregard this thread since I just seen one titled "Multicore processors" lol. I never knew of this part of the forum sorry!
Ever since I purchased the Intel i7 processor and tried running Thief 2 it's been going haywire. Take it to my AMD rig and it runs like a charm.
I get as far as starting a mission and playing for 5 minutes then the entire computer freezes.
For a test run I played "A wonderful reception" and blew all the candles.
The zombie didn't even pop out the cake and PC froze.
I can't think of any other reason why it would be not working. . .
Any thoughts?

Core i7 is the most fastest x86-CPU in the world at this time, but I doubt that it cannot handle with Thief 2 :). Please describe more exactly your hardware and software. BTW, did you try to fix the multi-core issue as described in the FAQ?

You are obviously aware of what is causing the game to freeze, and the solution is in the FAQ, so what is the point in this thread?

Oh believe me Bjossi you may disregrad this thread at your own risk since it was stated in the beginning,

And yep MooseTroll I figured the problem lol :D there was a forum covering it. I just had to run the DDFix program and BOOM it worked haha thanks.

Well, yes, but overlooking an entire forum easily wins misunderstanding a sentence.
But anyway, I'm glad you got the problem resolved. Though I should mention that the i7 line-up is far from being the only troublemaker. ;)
