You could always get a head start by brushing up on braille. Smooth transition is definitely the way to go.

If the headaches cause the sensitivity to light, you are likely looking at migraines -- .
I don´t think so, migraine-attacks will not stay this long.

I get the vague impression from this thread that maybe I should go see a doctor. Okay. I'll make an appointment to see Dr. Nick on Monday. (Maybe...)
In the meantime, I'll get loaded up on painkillers. On a side note, found my first Pscilocybe this morning, and it was a fucking monster. Thought at first it wasn't one, it was so big, but closer examination confirmed that it was a liberty. Going to be a good season for them, methinks.

Too much faith in Doctors ITT. Bunch of cheap self servicing hacks and serial killers in my experience.
Quoting for truth. 100 grand a year to tell people they have a virus? Sign me up straight away.
Spleen, you have a migraine and/or eyestrain. Take regular breaks from your computer monitor and knock the magic mushrooms on the head for a bit.

I think I'm losing my sight. Fucker, huh?
Thing is, I've had a sore head off and on for about two months now. Figured at first it was just the hot weather. It's been a bitch of a hot year. Can't remember the last time it was this fucking hot. Now though it's a lot cooler, but my sore head is still ever present, and it feels like it's right behind my eyes. Bright light is evil. Either I'm a vampire or my eyesight is responsible for the pain.
Question is, I'm 32, and I was wondering what age anyone else out there started to lose their sight. And whether sore heads were a classic symptom. Eye tests here cost money, and I don't want to waste some getting them checked out to discover it's just a brain tumor. I'm loathe to start using glasses. Even sun glasses feel weird on my nose, and exacerbate the sore head.
Now, of to the "ITT we do drugs", or whatever it's called. Pscilocybe season is on the horizon.
PS Just saw a photo of GBM. Fucking hell but the internet and a fucked imagination do not mix. You look nothing like I imagined. Far too thin. :thumb:
I've been losing my sight since I was born, look up 'retinitis pigmentosa'.
If you don't go to the doctor to get this checked out, you may lose an opportunity to save your eyesight, assuming that something can be done about it that is.

Oh please, please come and join us. I'd love to see you quit your self-declared unfulfiling job and become a doctor. 100G a year because we have so much responsibility. Have you ever made a life or death decision in your job? Doctors do often, some of us every single day (depending on your speciality and level) and for the vast, vast majority of the time get it right (which is why there are still doctors who haven't been struck off, duh). Think you can handle that pressure? Bring it on. PM me for more info if you think you've got it. Am I taking it a bit too seriously? Perhaps, but if it were anyone but you, the most opinionated loudmouth around here, I'd ignore it.
Spleen, go see a doctor.
