I am talking about internet slang. Wikipedia doesn't have a brief explaination about "internet words" and abbreviations.
Any links?

I'll tell you something I never learnt at school, I learnt it good and proper in the hard, harsh school of the Internet. That's right, I've been through it all, son, and the Internet taught me everything I know. To survive, all you need is this little ticket:

More interesting to me are the predictors and mechanisms of meme death.

all your base are belong to us. you just got pwned.
You're gonna have to elaborate. Wiki has a (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Internet_slang) big page on abbreviations and (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet) 41$0 1337 $|o34|<
"Many words originally derived from Leet slang have now become part of the modern Internet slang, such as "pwned". The primary driving force of new vocabulary in Leet is the need to describe new phenomena. Another force is common (intentional) misspelling such as "teh", and especially the "z" at the end of words ("skillz"). Another prominent example of a surviving Leet expression is the ever-popular "w00t" (now sometimes purposely done as w0t0). Gamers in particular may use Leet in a sarcastic manner, e.g. "ph34/2 m`/ 1337 sk1llz" ("Fear my leet skills"), as the practice is frowned upon by the community."Admit it. y0|_| 0|\|1y \/\/4|\|7 teh popular threadz olol!!1!

hacker- the precurser to 1337, the spelling that originated on the inter to involve the quickest typing for the minimal understanding error. i believe myself to be part of this movement while it was at its peak. it is now mostly used by a few of the lowest forms of internet speakers (gamers) but that is a dialect of hacker with 1337. it also finds it way into many people's online writing. what really interests me is how hacker progressed into 1337 which takes time or practice to understand and also takes longer to write.

Thous two never crossed. Hacker is hacker and 1337 is just something stupid that pretends to be something cool.

1337 = leet = elite = something you're not!
if ((1337 > hxxorz) && (haxxorz != (mod(pwn * lol))) || (haxxorz < mod(haxxorz / (pwn + lol)))) && ((pwn / brb) != (hxxorz - lol)))
{
System.out.println(myName + " ownes " + yourName);
}
