ThiefEdit is a
In other words you can hear all WAVs of the snd.crf file without opening it with WinZip and clicking on every single WAV. This is a very easy and comfortable way to listen to all sayings and conversations (en français). ;)
You can browse all the graphic files of the FAM and OBJ folder and read the books/scrolls like that, too. :thumb:
Was this program also done for German language?, i would like to play Thief in German too someday , i still know alot of German, but mainly by reading, and talking but listening to German is still something hard for me to understand the words spoken.

Well that depends on which language version you have installed. ThiefEdit opens the CRF files in the RES folder, if it would find a german snd.crf it would play the WAVs in german for you. But if I understand right you have recently installed the FR version? :)
Just try it out, you'll find it helpful since you are a FM author, too. :)

Anyone knows where can I find the German version to play thief 1 and 2 ? Or if there is also Italian version available?

TFix supports the DE and FR version of the game, so as long as you feed it the proper base files, you will get a working localized build.

Thank you very much Constance and Voodoo47.
It's a pity that Italian version was never created for the Thief serie games.

It was never created
officially, e.g., by LGS. But there have been several attempts to convert an English version to Italian. Check out the following links:
(
https://www.oldgamesitalia.net/traduzioni/thief-gold) Thief Gold - translated by Krenim.
(
http://italianthief.altervista.org/) Thief Gold - I don't understand Italian, so I don't know whether that one is finished.
(
https://www.oldgamesitalia.net/traduzioni/thief-2) Thief 2
Since I don't speak Italian, and didn't feed the pages to a translation program, I currently can't tell you more about these finds, and how to apply them. Something I found years ago, which seems to be an earlier version of Krenim's Thief 1 translation, did not have the sounds or movies translated, however. No idea what you get with these new translations.
