Bubble Bobble was okay, but when it came time to throw away those quarters, it was Chopper Lifter for me. (I think that's the one. The one where you landed your chopper in the prison yard and waited for everyone to get on)

It would not also be extremely frustrating (meaning some people would throw the computer across the room if they spent 30 hours on a game just to find out they did it wrong) But as said earlier, say bye bye to replay value. I haven't beat Dx1 yet, played about 3 days in a row like mad. But i do want to replay the whole game just to play the other two ways and try dif augs and skills.
Whats interesting is when you don't do something or do something, it greatly affects the game later on,
*warning spoiler for like the first 10 min of game*
Like when I didn't rescue gunther in the first mission, it came back to bite my ass later on.
Anyways wayy off topic... i've played games like that, and frankly i felt like ripping the game to shreds. EG. Under a killing moon (AGH). Games with that type of gameplay don't make it... i say stick with the same style, add more diversity in augs and skills, also more being able to buy more from NPCs would be nice.
That's just my 2 credits. :p

What happens if you don't rescue Herman? I always did....it said so on the mission objectives.....

Gunther is not friendly when you meet him at the vending machine.

Lol.
Seriously, that is one bad idea. They should be doing the exact opposite, not just in long-term gameplay but in short term gameplay as well. No matter what you do, it should always be possible, if bloody hard in some situations, to get out of and continue with the game.
Save/Loading should be eliminated as much as possible IMO. It completely ruins the immersion to load to many times.

I was extremely dissapointed to read details in the latest PC Gamer. I think the biggest change they could have made to the game (and the most obvious one) was to let the player choose sides. In DX1, no matter what choices you made, the game still flowed to the same places with the same enemies and the most important decision of the game was not yours to make.
Put me back on the plane with my brother and the man from the so called terroist group and agent Navarra, and let me choose between them and Unatco. This ability would be huge and would have doubled the games replayability and enjoyability.

I didn't read the PC Gamer article I don't think. But why are you so disappointed? As far as I know, they're focusing on plotline, giving the player many more choices. Like I said in my other post, this would increase replayability, yada yada, etc. etc.

Well, it bothered me because they mentioned that your allies would be chosen for you. I do not remeber exactly how it was worded, but basically it left me with the impression that you could not choose the ultimate path of the game. I think Deus Ex 1 screamed out for the ability to choose between the two sides and you were never able to make that choice. from the article I read it seems the same will go for the second deus ex. while you can make choices about who you help, what augs you get, etc. you still will not be able to choose to go over to the nsf or stay with unatco for example.
