Also RDJ's reaction to fett... really isn't much better than the usual reactions to announcing one's atheism (or, in my case, apatheism- I made the mistake of telling my mother that I just didn't care and she started crying and has been dropping miserable little hints that she wants me to get back into religion ever since.)

Cut the man a little slack! It's not just a philosophical game of solitaire for fett. It's also a morass of emotional and mental issues involving a lot of people and a lot of years.
It is possible to be essentially right about an issue without being a total, insensitive, self-righteous twat about it.

It's now April 2nd over here, so I can come out and say that I hope Fett and RBJ cooked up that little spat as an April 1st joke. :(
But if you're serious Fett, I'd suggest that you're not very happy, and worrying about religion is probably just distracting you from the root problem. Figure out what's wrong and fix it. Concentrate on you and your family. Don't offload your troubles onto some remote 3rd entity.
Also, you're pastor is preying on your weakness in order to further his own goals, although to be fair he probably doesn't realize it. I see that all the time around me, and I fucking hate it. If he can't convince you God exists when you're on top of your world, don't let him fuck you over when you're feeling down.
Anyway, it's your decision of course. Maybe you do feel some sort of faith that I just can't understand ... whatever you do, good luck! :thumb:

You know, I've been a bit suspicious of this since RBJ first posted. I mean he might be serious and is trying to stop Fett's potential reconversion via freethinkers style tough love or something, but really...the whole thing seems a little too put on. What with the friendly-unfriendly banter going on and whatnot.

Yeah I'm also suspicious. It all sounds very believable, on any other day I would totally buy this, but now I have my doubts, especially because fett hasn't said something like 'I know this is April fools day but I swear I'm being serious'.
