I think I've discovered why SS2 has always been so hard for me - by charlestheoaf

Is there a corpse that can be identified as Cortez?
Because during the encounter when entering rec deck we don't see him die.
He could have just run somewhere and we never met him again.
Good point, he actually just vanishes and is never seen again.

I'm a packrat too. I tend to make big-ass piles of crap near the elevators, and the haul them upwars as I progress through the game. Near the end I throw it all into the shuttle and take it to the BotM as well.
I do similarly in Deux Ex too.

Why did I never think of that? :o
I always say goodbye to my stuff in the MedSci chem. room when I'm about to enter the BotM.

You and me have a lot in common when it comes to SS2 gameplay style. ;)
Do you by any chance collect all the useless items and stash them together in the MedSci chem. storage room and later use the recycler to get some cash? :p
Hehe, yes, I do that.

That's an even better idea!
EDIT:
O yeah, I also usually end up stock-piling my cyber modules until I have enought to max out 1 or 2 skill trees :P

That's a habit I haven't picked up yet, heh. :p

I end up doing it in a lot of games...I don't know why.
In Deus Ex I ended up finishing it only advancing pistols to the highest level and 1 or two levels of hacking.

By that point in the game, you're usually powerful and well-equipped enough that you don't need all that crap anymore. When I hit the BotM I'm rarely using even half my inventory space.

I like to carry lots of "just in case" objects when there is no going back.

I remember on my second run through the game I went up and down the ship gathering supplies from the best replicators so I could stock up on medkits, hypos and bullets before going to the BotM. I must have had almost 1000 bullets for my AR in total. Anyways, I completely misjudged the length of the BotM and finished the game with some ridiculous amount of supplies.

It doesn't hurt to have plenty of supplies if you have nothing better to spend your nanites on, it's not like they slow Goggles down. ;)
