i think i may have killed my savegame

this is my first time playing through deus ex. i'm at the MJ12 ocean lab, i have completed the mission, including [SPOILER]killing walton simons[/SPOILER] and now just have to get back to the surface. So i backtracked through the level, but a few rooms on from where the previously mentioned 'spoiler' takes place I've run into a dead end. It's just past the room (heading backwards) with the computer and a broken light or something on the floor shooting out electricity. There's a blast door that I closed after me on my way in and it seems there is no way to open it from the inside :eww: unless I am really missing something, please tell me I haven't ruined my game. I do keep multiple saves but all my saves are since coming through that door.
if i have ruined my game is there any possible way to fix it via hacks cheats etc?

Can you access the flooded parts of the lab? If yes then you just need to go up the ladder and carry on. Not all doors can be opened in this level, you might just be confusing two of them. The path you used to come in should be fine to backtrack. Look around carefully, if you're really stuck take a shot of the door so we can see which one you mean. At worse I'm sure a map select cheat would fix it.

And on the off chance that you really are stuck (which you probably aren't), DX has a very nice fly-through-walls cheat.

Have you tried your nanokeyring on it?

I always forget to try that.

Failing that, press t, delete the 'say' bit, and type

set deusex.human bcheatsenabled true

then repeat this process, this time typing

ghost

you're now ethereal, so walk through the door and then on the other side type

walk

and you're back to normal.

Definitely the door you need to go through. Wait, doesn't this door simply open with a nanokey? Hmm perhaps it was a keypad. Just activate cheats & use the noclip code as mentioned to fly through it.

BTW if you don't like the "Cheats Enabled" flag on your savegame, just type "set deusex.human bcheatsenabled false" once you are done with the door.

yes i did try my nanokey (though i just get the message 'its locked' as opposed to 'you dont have the right nanokey'), and the door does have a keypad (i think it may have been just a simple button) but its on the outside, with no way of opening it from the inside.
i guess ill use the cheats, thanks.

edit - just used 'em and got past, thanks again :)
