It's nothing to do with sexism anyway, it's elementary statistical prediction. If somebody talks about a "computer geek", is it sexist to assume that they are referring to a male? Of course not: this is the most likely outcome based on the statistical distribution of male and female computer geeks.
Sexism would be assuming that a female
can't be a lawyer or computer geek because "women are stupid" or some other prejudice. Unfortunately the PC brigade have very successfully convinced many people that sexism is the failure to assume that an unspecified person has a 50% chance of being female even if the statistics don't justify this conclusion.
