One of the best compliments I've ever gotten was from my friend Ox, who said "You somehow manage to have more fun with less money than anyone I know," and I've tried to live up to that ever since.
Bravo! I try to live by this philosophy myself. And, given the fact that I'm currently stone broke, I'm already half-way there :thumb:

It's sort of rambling, but does it come close to answering your question?
Yeah man, some interesting insights there, thanks.

Weird...on that picture I have a sitting position. Have no idea why it suddenly bothers you

I thought it was interesting also. It also reminded me of some of my thinking a few years back when I DID decide to hop off of the track.
Although my career in business and accounting was not near as rewarding as I imagine yours can be at times RBJ, I achieved the level I wanted up to the point of being offered management position. I was so driven and it wasn't just to better my income a bit, it was to feel like I had accomplished something. Unlike the girl who made post on Craigslist, I have always taken pride in doing things for myself and not looking for someone else to carry me. I'm not someone who could marry for money and don't understand it when people do but that's just me.
Whenever you do reach your crossroads, it will hit you like a ton of bricks. You'll instinctually know it's time to go in another direction and you'll find a way to pay off what you do owe to go down another path. For me, I sold my house, my car and almost everything I owned to live a simpler, quiet life with none of the stress and bother from the office environment I left.

Hell, I did worse as recently as Monday night, but I still wouldn't rate her above a "pump and dump."

Wow, what a caricature.
The first thing Dumb Chick needs to learn is that beauty != sex appeal. They may be correlated but they're not the same thing. She sounds like some women I've met who maintain an appearance and image that impresses other women but fails to attract men. I've had the serious hots for more than a few women she would probably deride as "plain". And let me be blunt. Just because she's strikingly beautiful doesn't mean I'm going to enjoy a lot of good sex.
Generally, men are pretty simple. Up to a certain age, most of us are looking for three things in a woman: good sex, low maintenance, and some common interests. Then, when it comes time to think about fatherhood, we start putting more emphasis on a woman's ability to contribute good genes and be a stable parent. Having a trophy wife to show off to our friends is pretty far down on most guys' lists, and that seems to be her main selling point.
