I'm cleaning out some files on my computer, and I am finding files with the WAC extension. I know it's a music file, but what in the hell does WAC translate to.

I know WAV=wave, WMA=windows audio, but WAC just doesn't register. Ogg, Rar, Atrac, Orbis, I know, but WAC is a complete blank.

According to the tubes, it's most probably either a movie format or Bioware Infinity game engine WAVC sound.

I found this: (http://www.file-docs.com/fileext.php?keyword=.WAC) I've never had this problem before, and except for a recent update of WinMedia player, no new software.

I wonder if that caused it.

That game was so amazing. WAC was a delta force script file, I used to make mods for the delta force series. I still play the newest ones. Useless info to you.
