Yep join the dark brotherhood, their way better in terms of storyline rewards and how much fun the missions are. After that the mages guild is probable the best, I didn’t think much of the fighters and thief’s guild but their worth doing. And I would probably start them with a new character. I did two guilds with each of my characters, it’s just not fun starting a guild when your level 23. Particularly when you’re a brilliant warrior that can just walk through the toughest enemies. I found just doing side quest too disjointed to be much fun.

i've become the master of basically all the guilds. I ve finished thieves guild, darkbrotherhood, i'm the listener. I'm the grand champion on the Arena. I dont know what else to do with the Virtuous blood. I'm a sister. I'm also vampire myself and i dont really like killing other vampires.

I really appreciate the help from all of you....srry I haven't replied in a while...just haven't had the time. All of your advice will surely help me. And by the way Ercles, I meant that I had done 3 quests since the final part of the main quest. I have done about 27 other side quests.
THANKS

I would do quests, but none of them work properly. Oblivion is just a glorified deer hunting game to me. But seriously d00d, you did ALL the quests?

If you're asking about all the guilds, it's really not that hard to do all of them, and I'm pretty sure there are very, very few people in existence who have 100% completed Oblivion.

there's at least 3 quests i cant finish because I killed someone important, lol. Oh well. on with the blood shed.

You really think it's so hard? Finished Oblivion three or four times now with not one more quest to find neither in the game by chance nor by any walkthrough (which I finally read because I hoped to find one or two more quests).
Did all guilds, daedric quests and local quests you usually find in the cities or on the outskirts (such as the invisible people, the sheep-farmer's bear problems or the search for the owner of the abandoned house, the family having problems with two goblin tribes and so on... and kept the main quest going just to have some oblivion-gates to close - but ran out of them eventually too.
In my opinion Oblivion is much easier to finish completely than Morrowind was. I don't think there are many gamers having done Morrowind completely. ;)
Never did Shivering Isles on the demetia-side though.

:tsktsk: You'd know if it were 3 or 4. You wouldnt be 'guessing'. It's more than 100 hours of gameplay to do what ur talking, PER game. I am on 86 hours and I closed 4 gates, and I'm almost done with the black hand quests, never did much of the mages guild but get kicked out, grand champion, and fight there each week, and I am about to go take care of the goblin war. I've done a few sideline quests and all, but I am at level 12. I think the game is NOT finished, even with all the quests done, until ur at level 100, or a master of everything. No one here, from what I have seen, if more than level 40.
There's 1 quest you obviously missed. It's getting out of the house and get laid. Ur talking thousands of game play hour. I want screen shots.

Sorry for dissapointing but I really don't know. I play a lot of games, if I like them mostly twice or more times - you kind of lose track of all of them after a while.
I think you can play Oblivion in a very effective way if you know how - I never fight all enemies closing a gate for example. I only fight those wearing some precious armor - for I want to sell it.
I mostly sneak by the rest or just "speedgame" the plain and the tower - never visit all of the buildings and caves in there - because after playing Oblivion a while the maps just repeat themselves and there is not much new to be found.
After 80 hours I usually have more than 20 gates closed if I start with the main quest. I commonly start by thieves guild and do mages guild (to keep infamy and fame balanced and to soon get to enchant armor and weapons), learn chameleon, feather and healing as fast as possible and play thieves guild untill becoming grey fox. I also concentrate the character on speed and agility.
After that I start the main quest playing it quite slowly while starting dark hand - at least to get my favourite horse - and doing the other guilds as well. You can do a lot of "jobs" synchronous if you are in a town. Saves time.
I never play for "saving time though, I just don't like travelling about all the time.
