So, the lesson of today, for those who are able to comprehend it, is that Sado-Garrett has makeup applied, in order to create a ghoulish, "The Crow"-like effect to his eyes and face...whilst
Garrett, wears no such atrocity, and has a natural, normal-looking face, which is often seen shadowed-out in various places during his nightly activities.

Thanks for returning to topic, credit where its due. :thumb:
They still look like the same face to me with the same darkened areas around his eyes.
I'm definitely not seeing any make-up there.

I still say there had better be some sort of necro-plague making Garrett look like that, some sort of Sentient Artifact chaos, not...makeup and a severe lack of sunlight. I wonder if Garrett got rid of flashbombs and if he will now erupt in a cloud of steam if one is set off.

I agree that would be the one exception that could cause such a thing...although, that would still be an unnatural possibility, not a natural one...we know that his look is not natural because of the straight-lined, triangular application around the eyes...This can only be caused by a makeup/necromantic visual effect.

Yep! The only way I can except his ghastly vampiric look, is if he's got a disease health potions and blood fruit won't cure, like this plague. I could understand a plague being so virulent there aren't enough apothecary treatments to go 'round, but if there are potions in this game, they better not just be power-ups the other characters are oblivious to. TMA got it right! Also, who here doesn't know the difference between eyeliner, eyeshadow, and an illustrator's technique for creating contrast to attract the viewer's eye?

It's really tiring at times dealing with some of these troubled, close-minded individuals...

Wow.

Uh... guys... you are ignoring the most obvious explanation...
All teenagers go through a phase like this. This is just Garrett rebelling.
Either that or he's trying to (

While you can find screenshots and artwork showing T1/T2 Garrett with darkened areas around his eyes, its clear from the rest of the image that he is in a darkened environment and that the dark around his eyes are simply deeper shadow. In the couple images we have of new-age Garrett, he is constantly in the light. While this is itself a bit questionable, it also makes it more difficult to explain the darkness around his eyes. Looking at it logically, I don't think you could even find a practical explanation for the makeup, as one would want to lighten the darker areas of one's face, and darken the light areas, to better blend in. While my original comment about causing snow blindness was only a joke, its true that its entirely backwards to darken the eyes while allowing the skin to shine so brightly. Seeing some kind of screenshot or artwork that is actually set in a darkened area will go a long way to settling this discussion.

Yeah, it's perfectly reasonable to note the stealth flaw of darkening the pits of the eyes while brightening all the skin that isn't covered by the cloth mask. While they undid the Goth black nails, they didn't really address the anti-stealth face. The mask doesn't hide his identifying features in the least, nor does his death pall add to his melting with the shadows.

The face is what gets me! Like he put 100 pounds of white caked makeup on...GREAT going for someone trying to hide in the shadows....NOT!
He probably says to himself, "they will NEVER see me in the shadows with this on"!! LOL!
