Just go-a-googling for official Garrett images, and even fan art, and there are plenty of shots showing Garrett with darkened eyes.

Regarding "make-up" -- haven't you ever had a time where you weren't getting enough sleep for a while? Maybe you were sick? I've seen cancer patients looking similar. So this plague business certainly ties in to that look.

Thank you for conceding to the blatantly obvious...When you decide to listen to me, rather than react blindly in your limited preconceptions, you might actually better your understanding of things...and ultimately, that's what I really want to have happen.
The other point is that
Garrett, other than his mechanical eye, has a natural, normal-looking face, with no unnatural darkening of the eyes...this is simply shadowing that naturally appears across his eyes and face during his nightly activities. Any fan art depiction that shows otherwise is simply a distortion of his character.
