Hello guys 'n girls!
It's my first time ever in this part of TTLG... I'm already a fan of Shock and Thief, and I just bought Deus Ex two days ago...
I was a bit worried 'cuz my PC's a PII 350, but all I had to do actually was to reset my monitor rez back to 800x600 and now the game runs just fine. I just have to wait about 1.5 minutes for a level to load up... not really a problem...
So I'm in New York, and about to free some poor hostages that got caught by the NSF in the 'Ton Hotel... I'll try to use non-lethal ways to do it =)
I like it. A lot. It's just as if they had mixed Thief, System Shock 2 and a couple of other games withe the interface of SS1, all in one single CD... Kuddos to the dev team! it kicks ass!

i have to admit, if i hadn't playd thief before coming across dx, it probably would have gotten my favourie game. but they both kick ass.
i can't stand ss2, i'm sorry to say ..maybe i'll warm up to it sometime.

You did yourself a big favor by buying dx.
After Thief this is my favorite game. Since you've already bought thief then this is the best game you could possibly buy. :thumb:

I loved playing Thief I & II ( repeatedly ) and only found DX last summer. It was so good I didn't want it to end and so played it thru again trying a different style of tactics. Thank goodness they have just given us the announcement that DX2 is on the horizon.
I am also avidly anticipating Thief III. Heaven will be all these games on one pc and lots of time.....:angel:

You are so late to join the party. The sequel development is going so far and you are only at the beginning. Deus Ex makes you feel like living in that world, and give you options to decide your life. :eek: :cheeky: :p

yes. but you won't have the time to play dx three or four times of more often to discover all the funny little things about it. :p
