Hi!
Well, now , that I´m trough with the MQ I realise I´ve made on helluva mistake.
MY friends, who are elder-scrolls-maniacs just like me( and even worse) told me, that there is a possibilty to "convert" Goldbrand into "Blaubrand".
This should be done by:
being a vampire.( a bit difficult when being immune to diseases, but I know, it can be done via console cmd or a "Weakness to Disease"spell)
and by:
contacting a certain person( forgot the name) in Aldruhn. I think it was Aldruhn...
another condition of being able to convert Goldbrand would be carrying a certain amount of gp with you, I forgot this one, too, but I think it was 11751gp or something like it.
So now, I´ve searched the official forum for "Blaubrand" and "Bluebrand", and I searched google, but I didn´t find ANYTHING.
What I need now is:
Confirmation, that there is the possibilty of converting/upgrading Goldbrand.
So now...
help!

They're close, but they don't have it quite right.
The deal is: It's possible, through a Byzantine progression of circumstances, to transform "Goldbrand" into "Eltonbrand." At least, it's called Eltonbrand in the US version.
Here's the instructions, from the (
http://www.m0use.net/~uesp) UESP:
"This is easily the most obscure item to get within the game. Unless you know how, or are very, very lucky, you will not find it yourself. First you most obtain the Goldbrand sword (see below), which itself is one of the more difficult to acquire items. Next you need to become a vampire and perform the Kill Shashev quest for Sirilonwe in the Ald'ruhn Mages Guild. It gets tricky here since it appears you can 'mess' this quest up if you do it improperly, spoiling your chances of obtaining Eltonbrand. The best bet is to obtain the quest from Sirilonwe, kill Shashev and take his key back to Ald'ruhn. If you kill Shashev before speaking to Sirilonwe, you may very well mess things up. Once you have Goldbrand and completed the quest, you'll need to have be carrying exactly 11171 gold for the magical transformation of the Goldbrand into the Eltonbrand (you don't lose the gold). I suspect that this is merely due to some developers overacting sense of imagination, or boredom."
BTW, here's an explanation of the Eltonbrand joke, taken from (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=835087#post835087) another thread:
"The developers are basketball fans. Elton Brand was a player at Duke University, who then got drafted by the Chicago Bulls, and traded to the Los Angeles Clippers."

aaah...
that´s why...well.
Eltonbrand.
guess it´s Blaubrand in that ugly german version.
I´m happy to have the original version...
well...
okay, let´s recap:
I´ll get a spell "weakness to disease". and let me get infected.
question1: Is it important to be infected by a certain clan? Or is this "kill shashev"-mission one of those 11 missions that aren´t clan-dependent?
question2: So now, that I´m infected, what do I do?
I can only go by night, I remember( cos I was vamp once, but "reloaded" cos it was too scary for me:D ). But can I go directly to Sirilonwe? What will this be like? Can´t everyone see I´m a vampire? I mean, I´ve got white eyes and I am pretty pale...Can I just go to Sirilonwe?
And I guess there´s one problem...I think I´ve already killed Shashev...dunno, but I´ve killed a lot of vampires. Even before I had corprus. well...I´ll just try...
Now I´ll have to find some vamp-dungeon...hm...
oh, and thanks!
edit:
well...there´s somthing wrong...
I don´t know ....but Sirilonwe is in Vivec....?

No, it isn't clan-specific. However, if you decide to play out being a vampire, I'd make sure to get infected by one of the three main clans, and not some random loner vampire living in a cave somewhere. If you get infected by one of the three clans, you can do their clan quests. If you get bit by Random Vamp, you can't do any clan-specific quests. But it seems like you knew that.
Yes, just go to see her. Yes, guards might attack you. But people in the Mages Guild will still talk to you when you're a vamp.
If you've already killed him, try getting the quest from Sirilonwe, then going to the place where Shashev used to be, open up the console, and type "ra" (no quotes). That should reset all NPCs in that area. If that doesn't work, you can use Shashev's individual console name to reset him. This will probably be "'placeatpc shashev 1,1,1'' (again, without the quotes).

edit:
I´ll leave it.
It just didn´t work
I mean, I got the weakness to CommDis at last via console then I made a new spell "w/ weakness on self", but well, it just didn´t seem to work...
so now...I´m kinda trying to have some form of afterlife.
My seemingly expandable stats here:
Imperial Cult: Layman, but I don´t seem to get any job there
Fighters Guild: dunno, but I still can do some work for them, though I don´t want to remove the heads of the thieves...( current quest)
Mage´s Guild´s finished...
Thieves Guild: nobody. after getting the code book they didn´t want me any more...
Imperial Legion: nothing to do anymore.
Hlaalu: Hortator and...Grandfather ( ? dunno, mixing up all kinds of technical terms :D )
the other Houses: Hortator, but I don´t think I can do any jobs for ´em, too late.
Temple: done there...
what else?
Blades- Operative. How do I get any promotion there? I mean...Caius is gone. Any chance to see him again?
East Empire Conmpany: Steward, but I just can´t finish that quest for Falco Galenus in Raven Rock, where I have to kill all Spryggans...
to sum it up in some words: Done with MQ in TRibunal, Bloodmoon and Morrowind. Or at least I think so
I´m still kinda curious:
Does Morrowind still have something in store for me?
I´ve read many times that people killed Vivec...why?
Is it possible for me to join the Morag Tong/ Camonna Tong, or is there anything else of interest?
Ah yes...
I´ve got another question:
I did a quest for sheogorad, killing a giant Bull Netch with a Fork , but I don´t seem to find Sheogorad´s statue anymore...or at least the shrine I got that quest from...
Is it Ald Daedroth? I don´t think so.

It's specifically the "Weakness to Common Disease" spell you need to buy. That'll add the basic "Weakness to Common Disease" spell type to your spell library, and then you can pay a spellmaker to make you an extra-powerful, 100-point version of it. Per <a href="http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=875742#post875742">Munky9999's post</a>, you can buy the basic spell from Medila Andaren, in Caldera.
Edit: Well fiiiiine... I go and search out and type up an answer for you and you wipe your post; see if I care.. ;) Btw, Imp. Cult missions are obtained in the IC shrine at the back of Ebonheart, you can join the Morag Tong (check the basements of Vivec's Arena quarter), and Sheogorath's statue is under Vivec somewhere (St. Delyn, maybe?)

Ok. About vampires, you don't need to be biten by one in a clan hall you can still do quests for the certain clan if you get biten by a loner vampire since they still have clan blood. I had the locations at MWF which is currently down and The imperial libary which is also currently down. Try (
http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/afterdark/)
About the east empire quest. It is a basic error to do with death counts and placing scripts on wrong objects, there is 2 places this error can happen in BM and once in TB. I think I made a mod to fix it but couldn't tell you where it is or what it is called.
type: "Journal CO_10 30" into the console and you should be able to continue.
People kill vivec for fun, he is a poofter, and he has a nice soul if you get Azura's star from the azura's shrine quest located at the south east tip of MW, there is a Azura statue over viewing the sea, you can't miss it.
It is possible to join Morag tong from the vivec arena, secret area(trap door into it from storage room) but not the camona tong
