Hello.
A while ago I got Terra Nova, for three quid, in a pawn shop. Fully boxed, in that big sexy box, all the manuals, CD (duh) and associated sexiness.
Buuut, it doesn't work. I have a DOS boot disk which works for such games as the original Dune, but when I try to run Terra Nova, it dumps me back to a DOS prompt with some kind of error with a bunch of numbers (I'll try and get the exact error message at some point soon). The setup program all works fine, complete with "Ah! Thankyou! Digital Sound working!", but when I try to launch, it all goes boom. :O(
System spec:
AMD Athlon T bird 1.4Ghz, 512 RAM, Geforce2 MX, SB Live value etc etc, which hasn't proven a problem for many other DOS games I've run. The DOS boot disk is DOS version 6.2, also, but my computer generally runs Win98 first edition if that's relevant. I suck at the computer so I'm not sure what you guys need.
Any suggestions?

Have you worked through the thread marked "Important: Running Terra Nova on a modern machine" at the top of the Terra Nova forum listing?
Let us know how you get on... Getting TN running on your specs in Win98 should be reasonably easy (e.g. I have AMD Athlon T bird 800Mhz, 256MB RAM, Geforce4Ti, SB Live value which is pretty similar to your own specs).

WOWEEE
It works, simply by running Vesafix and then TN in a dos box.
Thank you guys so much, I always wanted to play this when it came out but I had a 486 :(
\o/

Yeah, I remember it being a bit on the choppy side on my 486 DX100... slick as anything when I moved to a P200, though :)
Enjoy!!!
