I think what gunny's trying to say is that no doesn't always mean no.

How can you say no to a face like that? Everybody likes a monkey on meth.

My girlfriend and I were talking about this. We came to the conclusion that it was probably easier for her to say "Raped by Manson" and get some sympathy, than for her to say 'fucked the shit out of Manson" and be ignored.

The fact that she had a motive for her claim is no evidence that it's untrue, it's not even a good hint, given what we know about Charlie.
I'm not saying the claim is true either, I'm just saying we don't know. And that includes BEAR, you and your girlfriend. So maybe we all better shut up about it.

it's awesome that in the face of choosing between believing whether a woman was raped by one of the most violent psychopaths in criminal history and whether she 'wanted it really', given no other evidence, the automatic assumption is the latter, and with the addendum that SHE'S SAYING SHE WAS RAPED TO GET ATTENTION
THAT'S WHAT THEY DO
WOMEN
THAT'S HOW THEY ACT
YOU KNOW HOW THEY DO
no need for feminism guys! equality has been achieved! we're all living in a postgender utopiaaaaaaaaa~

well see his girlfriend agrees and she is a woman and therefore it is okay

Not sure why you quoted me there, OnionBob. I generally agree with you, but no one her said she wanted attention. I think it can be assumed that in retrospect she doesn't feel to good about her connection with Manson. But like I said, that doesn't falsify her claim.

i was agreeing with you dummy
and contingently conflating "sympathy" with "attention" in this context is pretty defensible if you think in terms of connotation and not just denotation, and even if it weren't, it's not much of a stretch compared to the vast leaps of assumption made by others in the thread

Oh okay great, just wasn't sure. :)
Can we discuss what happened to the members of the Manson family now?
I've subtly tried to steer the thread this way but I think I need to be more outspoken.
