By the way, you can't really kill that guy. When you do on the Brotherhood quest it's another entity, or so the wiki says. Real Valen is probably doing your wife at the time.

As for this thread - seriously? Wow - someone is going to have a very tough life when they are forced to interact with the real world.
No -really, I hate Oblivion too. It's addictive nature, the music that insinuates itself in your head, the in depth story telling. I can honestly see why someone would be so insulted by the guy in the beginning.

Once again, why did they put this character in the game? That, to me, was a very mean and poor design decision, especially if it's more offensive than the entire rest of the game put together. And I shouldn't have to resort to a mod to bypass it.
I also hated the way he dies, just a simple "ugh" and he falls over. No, that's not the way it should end. I should be allowed to decapitate him, gut him 500 times in his body, stomp and crush his organs to mush, etc. Oblivion is an M-rated game after all.
As a result of this, Oblivion is the first and only video game that truly offends me. I really hoped this would never happen, but it did. Fuck you Bethesda, why?
I'm selling the game to one of my friends for $15, because it's still in very good condition. I'll keep Morrowind though, because they didn't make the same mistake in that game as they did in Oblivion, and it's really the better game overall. I'll just pretend Oblivion doesn't exist...

He is A GAME CHARACTER. He does NOT INSULT ANY REAL WORLD HUMAN RACES LIKE BLACK PEOPLE, HISPANICS OR ASIANS OR CAUCASIANS, only fantasy ones. YOU ONLY MEET HIM AT THE BEGINNING and when you do the Dark Brotherhood quest where you even get to kill him. Seriously, please explain, in detail what is it really that you find so offensive about this, I repeat,GAME CHARACTER?
The reason we react to you the way we do is because we have difficulty understanding why he makes you so seriously upset. It's just so odd someone can get so upset about a fictitious character.
