Hi All!
I think this would fit in all three of the Thief related sub-forums, however, possibly fits here the most.
This morning I woke up then went back to sleep a bit more, and I had a super weird dream.
I was literally in the game, in Thief 2, being the player (Garrett). The environment was an unfinished level by GORT (I don't know how I knew this).
It was a village in the mountains with impressive, posh buildings here and there, quite far away from each other. It was an autumn night setting, I was walking uphill on a cobblestone street with some falling leaves passing by.
And then, all of a sudden, I have heard a cartoonish, super-evil, incredibly loud laughter, then a creature was visible coming towards me.
It was a black, semi-transparent ghost craybeast that held a very long rope in one of his hands (scissors). At the end of the rope, there was an anchor.
When he detected me, he took a few steps backwards, then started spinning the rope-and-anchor very fast, then precisely pierced the anchor into my flesh, then I very quickly started to fly in the air, quite high, to the point where I was able to see that I will end up literally in the next village. Of course, a few moments later, after seeing two villages from the above for some seconds, I fell to the ground and died.
note: this has nothing to do with Halloween, I just had this dream, and as an addition, I was not really scared, I was rather laughing when I woke up.
Maybe the black ghost-craybeast is not a bad idea for a future fm...
