I thought it would be cool if older parts of threads started looking older with wrinkles and tears or maybe turning yellow. One advantage of this would be if you start reading some ancient thread that someone has bumped, you are instantly made aware of it and you don't think that "OMG, They're gonna make DE4!!!!"

So again, you don't want the whole thread to turn yellow, just the old parts of the thread.
