i got a question about a mage conversation i need clarification on if possible about elements order

ok if one of the missions i forgot what one a mage says the elements in a certain order was it "earth, fire, air, water"??? and of course the hidden element of quanta/space

or was it earth, wind, fire, water???

I'm not sure I even understand what the question exactly is.

Are you refering to this quote that the hand mages (which can be found mostly in the mages towers in Thief Gold) often say : « Wind blows, fire burns, water flows, earth shakes. » (mg1a0ch1.wav), or something more specific / with a heavier implication about the order being significant?

also there is that thing called youtube where Thief playthroughs can be viewed, and that particular conversation can be found and listened to with relative ease.

there is a certain order to the elements with how they mention them, constance i remember that one but i think i am looking for a different order

So why don't you open the file snd.crf in the \res folder and play all the mg1/2*. wavs to refresh your memory? :rolleyes:

cause it might be from a fan mission, that was why i asked if anyone knew if there was a certain order to the elements, as the npc voice was saying something like , earth, wind, fire, water, i dont think anything else was said but the elements

but thank you for trying, i was just hoping there was a certain order they come in?

Open those few FM ZIPs one after another and have a look at the WAVs in the mage1/2 folders. If their file dates are 1998 they have been taken from the OMs and therefore are not of interest. Just listen only to those who seem to be newer custom WAVs, maybe you'll find what you are searching for. That's a quick way ...
