Yes, all this forum experience will come in handy when I go for my Ph. D. in Applied Gluteal Millinery.

I'm still upset that Corporal Wesley's asshatery resulted in David rewarding him with an avatart :(
Matthew on 28/11/2005 at 16:08
Did the thread in this very sub-forum teach you nothing, fool?!
D'Arcy on 28/11/2005 at 16:17
I need to use sarcasm tags more often ;)
Matthew on 28/11/2005 at 16:47
So do I, obviously.
D'Arcy on 28/11/2005 at 17:41
We should ask David to implement that functionality then.

Sorry, he's too busy soaking up rays ATM.

I'm not telling anyone how to run things, just suggesting that the asylum patients be kept safely away from normal people.;)
..... normal??? You're joking, right (no offense)? Half the fun of visiting ComChat is watching what happens when the "patients" get loose! The solution seems obvious, though; if a certain thread/post offends someone, they have the option of leaving that thread (I know I have a few times) - it doesn't mean they have to leave the forum entirely or for good. And I certainly DON'T like the idea of an elite "members-only" C.C.! Actually, I was pretty surprised to find that some of these "wild people" were not only very nice (& quite gentle) in explaining about how things sometimes go in C.C., but in reading their posts in other forums I found they could actually be quite interesting.
(Names withheld to prevent over-inflated egos & also to prevent getting my ass flamed off.) As far as newcomers getting the wrong impression; I would hope they might visit other forums here as well as ComChat before formulating such a negative opinion.

But there already is a members-only elite, or so I heard. ¬¬

You've been watching too many conspiracy movies, dear. :cheeky: I think there's a group of members who've just known each other a long time & who're very used to each other (& each other's little quirks, etc). They're quite amusing when they really get going; so just sit back & enjoy the show........ We're new kids on the block & it'll take a little time to get to know everybody (& for them to get to know us), that's all.
(Edit: I just noticed your membership date Matt; you're not a new kid anymore!!!????)
