What is it with all the "I have my freedom of speech and I will enforce it so that everyone else has to bear me" these days ? These posts and topics have always existed, but I don't think there had been that many until recently.
Surely people have better to do than masturbate their ego on breaking what has clearly been defined as 'rules'. I wonder what makes them think that boards such as TTLG are democracies, although everything else on the internet corresponds to anarchic or despotic governements.
I am happy to be granted the right to discuss within this community. I'm not all that 'go go moderators', but I think we really have a big freedom of movement here. So what, these people are part of a trend or what ? Is there a similar phenomenon on other boards ?

Although I'm one of the new kids on the block here-I've lurked for a while before joining and I have to say I agree that there are people in the community that make a mockery of the FAQ that I read before joining (I was warned about that kind of stuff by a friend but I jumped in anyway). No disrespect to anyone, but I've seen some good people become alienated by bad behavior here while others seem to always have a 'get out of jail' card. Perhaps some support of the community's contributors and elimination of pests is required. Just my opinion.

I'm not sure I follow what's going on here. Which posts are we talking about?

I think they're on about the BIOHAZARD'S BACK IN TOWN AND HE'S TAKING THIEFGEN DOWN ONE THREAD AT A TIME
and subsequent apology/query threads and lockings.

Ah. That.
Better Biohazard than me, I'm sure malau would agree. I've got a tendency to amputate things rather than fiddle about with all that "treatment" nonsense.

Actually I was meaning some of the stuff I've seen in Comm Chat. I've poked fun in there myself, but some people are just too wild.:nono:

CommChat is a thing that can only be properly understood by beginning with the question "What would Genghis Khan do?"

Run out on the check, the cheap bastard.

I dont see why you would want it that way, but if you do perhaps you could password-protect the place so only members you want can enter and new people wouldnt stumble in and assume that it represents the community as a whole.
